Özgür Çelik, our doctoral candidate in the English Language Teaching PhD program has been awarded Doctoral Dissertation Grant by “The International Research Foundation for English Language Education (TIRF)” with his thesis titled “Establishing a Culture of Academic Integrity at Secondary Schools to Promote EFL Writing Development” under the supervision of Dr Salim Razı. TIRF, a non-profit organization that promotes best practices and research in English language teaching, has been supporting doctoral students up to $5,000 in priority areas since 2002. The DDG award, which was previously won by Özgür Şahan under the supervision of Dr Salim Razı, comes to our university for the second time, and Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University continues to be the only university in Turkey winning the prestigious TIRF DDG award.
